Tomb Raider II Survival GuideWalk-through
IntroductionBefore You Go...Guns and Bad GuysWalk-throughCheatsContents

Tibetan Foothills ...continued

Perfect Jumps, Every Time
As we said, you're not required to do these jumps to progress through the game. Your snowmobile has the power to get you over and past the chasm quite easily. However, any player worth his (or her) salt will at least give this pair of jumps a try.

Locate the alcove in the wall opposite the snowball trap.

Screenshot ScreenshotThis is the place to start. Aim for the far-right corner of the alcove and get ready to grab. If you think this one's tough, wait till you try the next one!

Aim for the far-left corner of the alcove and make your leap from the right side of the corner. Hit your grab at the last moment and you're there. Now for the tough one.

Screenshot ScreenshotThis is the launch point for what is probably the most difficult jump in the game. Not only can't you see your grab point, but only perfect timing will get you there safely. Hop back once from the edge of the cliff and go for it.

Set up the jump. You're going for the middle edge that is parallel to the edge of the alcove. The trick is to make the jump angle as acute as possible without hitting your left shoulder against the wall.

Don't believe that this jump can be made? Check out the shot below - the snowmobile hasn't moved, has it?

Screenshot ScreenshotHere's the landing point. Completing jumps like this makes it fun to see where we've been.

You can press forward on foot, or go down the ice ladder to where the Drawbridge Key was resting and work your way through familiar passages to reclaim your sled. Your choice.
