I am assistant professor (RTD) at the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano Faculty of Computer Science. Before this, I was a postdoc fellow at the Johannes Kepler University, Department of Computational Perception and a postdoc fellow at the University of Ljubljana Faculty of Electircal Enginnering.

My research interests are in exploiting psychologically motivated constructs, such as personality and emotions, to improve recommender systems and personalized systems in general. I apply user studies and crawl social media to acquire data. I use image processing techniques and NLP to extract features. I exploit recommender systems algorithms to personalize content.
