Data Structures and Algorithms 2011/12: Exams
-
The
has been
marked.
-
Although, the outcome was marginally better than in September
(3 out of 16 students passed), this is is a worrying result.
When marking, I had the impressions that almost all students were
insufficiently prepared. This approach does not work.
The exam tests skills in analyzing and solving problems.
It is impossible to acquire these skills by reading and rote learning.
I noticed in particular that all students taking this edition of the exam
had difficulties in writing code, regardless whether it is Java or pseudocode.
For everyone who thinks of taking this exam again, I suggest that you start
developing your coding skills more than anything else.
Once you are good at coding, you will understand the rest with little effort.
Best wishes
