About

Before embarking on the PhD journey in Bozen-Bolzano, I studied Computational Linguistics at the University of Potsdam (2000-’03), moving on to Edinburgh to get an MSc in Speech and Language Processing in ‘04 (Masters project supervised by Oliver Lemon). After the Masters, I worked at the Dialogue Systems group of (then) DaimlerChrysler Research & Technology in Ulm, Germany for one year.

Bolzano being in the middle of the Alps, I have been enjoying several outdoor activities over the years of doing my PhD. In particular, long-distance running, mountaineering (see the gallery section), and going on spontaneous motor-biking trips with my Honda Transalp.
