Mr. Romans Kasperovics, Ph.D. Comp. Sc.

Current Position

I am a scientific collaborator at DIS group at the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano. I obtained the Ph.D. degree in April 2010 at the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano. The topic of my Ph.D. thesis is handling recurrent events in relational databases. My Ph.D. advisors were Michael H. Boehlen and Johann Gamper.

Research Interests

The topic of my Ph.D., handling recurrent events in relational databases, relates to temporal databases, spatio-temporal databases, personal information management, and public transport networks. My additional interests include information retrieval, information integration, open-source software development, and workflow modelling and optimization.

Teaching Activities

From 2006 till 2010 I was a lab instructor for the "Data Structures and Algorithms" course.
