European Masters Program in Language and Communication Technologies

Language and Communication Technologies Colloquia

During the last few years, Language and Communication Technologies (LCT) have seen a rapid increase in development at both research and industrial levels due to the fast growth of the Internet, of speech based technologies, and the success of mobile communication. The methods of language technology come from several disciplines (computer science, computational and theoretical linguistics, mathematics, electrical engineering and psychology) and hence join efforts are required to train qualified researchers and developers.

Against this background, the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano (KRDB and CLS Research Centers), EURAC, the University of Trento (Center for Mind/Brain Sciences), the Fondazione Bruno Kessler and the ISTC-CNR aim to train new expertises, skills and professional profiles to answer these growing needs in the LCT area.

These institutions collaborates in the following educational activities:

Furthermore, they organize the LCT Colloquia aiming to offer a forum where the local community can present and assess recent advances in LCT, discuss issues, progress and perspectives to foster new collaborations at local, national and international level.
