- Logics for Ontology-based DAta Management (LODAM), developing techniques and tools for efficient access to large amounts of data through ontologies (2010-2012) - see also activities on OBDA. Principal investigator: Diego Calvanese.
- Context-based Reasoning about Events of Stories with and for poor COmprehenders (CRESCO), performing experiments and developing techniques for visually reasoning about events of stories (2010-2012). Principal investigator: Rosella Gennari.
- Knowledge-based Access to Services (KBASe), developing techniques for service access and composition by exploiting an ontological layer (2007-2012). Principal investigator: Diego Calvanese.

- Enrico Franconi is member of the Advisory Committee of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C), and the KRDB Research Centre is member of W3C.
